Accessibility

Haus Of Mx. is committed to inclusivity, online as well as in culture and fashion. We want everyone to be able to access our website and shop with confidence, regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology.

Our standard

We design and maintain our website with the aim of meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This supports our obligations under relevant accessibility and equality frameworks, including the UK Equality Act 2010 and the European Accessibility Act (EAA), and aligns with the accessibility expectations reflected in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the United States.

What we do to support accessibility

We work to maintain accessibility across the site, including:

  • Text alternatives: We provide descriptive alt text for meaningful images and non-text content where appropriate.

  • Colour and contrast: We design for readable contrast and avoid relying on colour alone to communicate critical information.

  • Motion and media: We support accessibility preferences (including reduced motion where possible) and aim to provide captions or transcripts for relevant video or audio content.

  • Keyboard navigation: We aim for full functionality via keyboard, including clear focus states and logical navigation.

  • Forms and errors: We use clear labels, instructions, and accessible error messaging to support assistive technologies.

  • Clear content structure: We use consistent layouts and readable content patterns to support comprehension.

Ongoing improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We periodically review our website and prioritise improvements that enhance usability for the widest range of visitors. We test key user journeys using assistive technologies such as VoiceOver and NVDA (where applicable), and continue improving areas such as contrast, motion controls, and interactive components.
